..... UPDATES .....
Some pics added to the TAD Photos page.
22nd June, 2009: First on-track test done with the new set-up. Two new video clips added of the testing (under "some video clips of the car" to the right of this article) Click here if you want to know more ASE
"Driving a clutch and shifting on the fly Sheldon Bissessar made it look like he had been doing this his whole life. With sub .95 second sixties footers, sub 2.50 second 330 foot times and sub. 3.80 et in the 1/8 the actual #'s will always remain in Bissessar and Sipple's note book and that is all we can say about that ! On the other hand getting into a routine is all that we are focusing on at this time. The Aaron Sipple built ASE / IRONMAN Chassis race car is doing it's job flawlessly".
...It has been some time since we up-dated you on our project. Well, the good news is, it is almost completed [only minor details remain]. The motor and fuel system is installed in the chassis, as well as the clutch and gear box. All system are 'GO' for testing (which shall be very soon). You will be kept up-dated on testing results and racing shedule as the information becomes available. Sheldon and ASE has be burning the midnight oil to have this car completed.(click on 'ASE' to be linked to more photos and info from ASE).
….. Sheldon (owner/driver), the tuner (Aaron of Ironman Chassis) and the Partytime Racing Team have been working feverishly to make changes to the car to be able to compete in the Pro Group of TOP ALCOHOL DRAGSTER (TAD) on the NHRA circuit. A lot of changes and modifications have to take place, including testing of the car before he can compete (which we hope will be soon enough). We hope to have additional news on this venture in the near future.

WORLD RECORD
In December 2008, at the Snowbird Outlaw Nationals, held in Bradenton, Florida, Sheldon and the team successfully set the new world record for the fastest Top Dragster in the world. Sheldon piloted the Hemi to a 3.77 sec @ 196.41 mph in the 1/8ml. and 5.777 sec @ 241.87 mph in the 1/4 ml. (both records), in the 2nd Elimination Round of the meet (click the link to the video of this run listed on the right). He subsequently went on to win the Open Outlaw Class also being the first foreigner to do so.
This was the last outing for the car with this set-up. Some pics of the Snowbirds nationals can be seen here:
