..... UPDATES .....

AS PROMISED, ONE OF THE TEAM'S PROJECT WAS LAUNCHED A FEW WEEKS AGO "THE LLUMAR RAIL" (28th -29th JUNE, 2008). THERE WERE SOME TEETHING PROBLEMS AND WE WERE FORCED TO DELAY THE LAUNCH (FULL RUNS). HOWEVER, WE DID GET THE OPPORTUNITY AT THE STREETWISE 'TEST AND TUNE' ON THE 20th JULY 2008. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THE DRIVER/OWNER OF THIS NEW RAIL (NOT SHELDON'S CHASSIS), WITH SHELDON'S PAT MUSI NITROUS MOTOR (INSTALLED AND TUNED BY PTRT) TOOK THE CAR DOWN THE 1/4 MILE. IT IS A WORK STILL IN PROGRESS BUT THE PRELIMINARY RUNS INDICATE THAT IT WILL BE HOT. THE CAR HAD A MILD TUNE AND WITHOUT NOS DID A COMFORTABLE 7.9 sec, ON A TRACK WITHOUT TRACKBITE TO ASSIST WITH TRACTION. AN ATTEMPT WAS MADE WITH NITROUS BUT WITHOUT TRACTION (AND THE DRIVER HAVING TO BACK-OFF THE TROTTLE), ALL WE COULD MUSTER WAS 8.0. THE NEXT TIME THIS CAR RUNS IT WILL BE FULLY FUNCTIONAL AND READY TO RUMBLE.

ON ANOTHER NOTE, THE OTHER PROJECTS ARE STILL IN THE PIPELINES AND WILL BE EMERGING IN THE FUTURE.

WE KNOW YOU HAVE NOT BEEN HEARING FROM THE TEAM RECENTLY AND WE HAVE NOT RACED SINCE THE 6.8 RUN. WE HAVE NOT BEEN TO THE USA FOR THE YEAR AS YET BUT WILL KEEP THE FANS INFORMED. HOWEVER, THIS DOES NOT MEAN THE TEAM IS NOT WORKING, IN FACT, SHELDON AND THE TEAM ARE INVOLVED IN ABOUT FOUR PROJECTS, AND WITH OUR REPUTATIONS AT STAKE YOU CAN BE SURE THEY WILL BE A "SIGHT FOR SORE EYES" STAY TUNED FOR UP-DATES.

IT'S HERE and WE DID IT!!!!

YES FOLKS, SHELDON AND THE PARTYTIME RACING TEAM PRODUCED YET ANOTHER FIRST AND ANOTHER RECORD ON 11th mAY, 2008 AT CAMDEN RACEWAY IN COUVA. THE CAR RAN A COMFORTABLE 6.8 SEC IN THE 1/4 MILE STRIP.

THE PARTYTIME RAIL 2008 .

Yes, the railcar is here in TRINIDAD. It landed on our shores on Thursday 17th April 2008, and was cleared from the port on 22nd April. Fans here in Trinidad will have the opportunity to see Sheldon and the PartyTime Racing Team in action. Sheldon will be driving and you can interact with the team in the pits. we will be trying to run the first 6 sec pass in Trinidad.

As most of our fans know by now, Sheldon and the team is going to be running another rail in the IHRA circuit for 2008. It is a Hemi with a 14-71 blower estimated at close to 3000HP. More on this later and maybe some sneak pics of the build will be seen on this site soon.

THE PARTYTIME RAIL 2007 .

Our first and only outing this year is at Rockingham, North Carolina for the IHRA World Finals. Because of delays with weather, there were only two qualifying runs available. We were unable to make the first but did qualify with the second run with a time of 6.532 and an mph of 212. (the highest qualifing nitrous car in the field). Eliminations take place on the final day of racing. Our elimination round saw us running a 6.45 @ 213 mph ( we were knocked out.(that's how it is with dial-up).

2006

The first official outing for the year 2006 was at New Hampshire's New England track in September (2006). This was the first testing of the new systems installed in the car and it did a comfortable 6.9 sec at 211 mph.The second outing was The World Finals at "The Rock" (Rockingham Dragway) in North Carolina on the 20,21,22 & 23 October, 2006. The temperature did not go above 56 deg F (approx 13 deg C) which is very cold for us Tropical guys and girls. We were handed a learning curve in tuning for these conditions. We qualified #4 with a time of 6.59 @ 208 mph. Our 1st eliminations saw us winning with a 6.51 @ 208 mph. Our 2nd elimination we were knocked out doing 6.49 @ 209 mph.(that's how it is with dial-up).

In November we were in North Carolina. We had some good runs there but were a little unlucky on the starting line (delayed launch setting) in the elimination round.

In December we were at the Snowbird Nations in (Bradinton) Florida. We did qualify and made it to the second qualifing run but a nitrous problem was our undoing. We learned a lot from this meeting and will be more prepared for 2007 seaso, where we hope to be in a couple of finals.
